Kuwait beat DPR Korea in warm-up game

Loading...AFC – CAIRO, Kuwait beat FIFA World Cup qualifers DPR Korea 2-1 in a warm-up match for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011™ finals from January 7-29.
The match was played in Cairo, Egypt, where both teams are camped as they prepare for the tournament – Asia’s premier event for national teams.
The teams were locked at 1-1 at half-time but Kuwait grabbed a winner in the dying minutes.
The two sides will face each other again on Monday in Cairo before Kuwait have their last preparatory match on December 31, against Zimbabwe, while the Koreans meet Bahrain on January 4.
Kuwait are in Group A of the AFC Asian Cup with China, Uzbekistan and hosts Qatar. DPR Korea, meanwhile, face defending Asian champions Iraq, Iran and UAE in Group D.
