Zob Ahan-Mes match to be replayed

MNA – ESFAHAN, The Iran Professional League (IPL) match between Zob Ahan of Isfahan and Mes of Kerman will be replayed.

In the original match, Edinho scored for Mes in the 62nd minute from the penalty spot but referee Saeid Bakhshizadeh ruled out the goal after the Brazilian paused before kicking the ball.

According to FIFA rules, after the referee blows his whistle, the kicker must kick the ball without hesitation. If the kicker scores after violating the rule, the kick must be retaken but the referee didn’t repeat the penalty.

Later in the game IPL leader Zob Ahan scored an injury time goal and won the match. The Iranian Football Federation (IFF) referees’ committee decided that the match should be replayed.

Iran League Organization Director Aziz Mohammadi said the exact time of the match will be announced.
