ghotbiihappiiMNA – DOHA, Iran football coach Afshin Ghotbi feels satisfied with the win over Angola in a friendly match ahead of the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.

The Iranian football team defeated Angola on Sunday night thanks to an injury time goal by Javad Nekounam.

“I am pleased with the way my players handled the game. Things worked out fine for us against the Africans. We are getting prepared for the Asian Cup,” Ghotbi said.

Iran has been drawn in Group D along with defending champion Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and North Korea.

The 2011 AFC Asian Cup will be held in Doha from January 7 to 29.
