PFDC – GELSENKIRCHEN/TEHRAN, Former Bayern Munich star Ali Karimi is in final talks with German Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04.

According to the German sport website kicker.de, Schalke manager Felix Magath (57) offered the former Iranian national team player a contract until Sommer 2011.

The 57-year-old confirmed that Schalke have agreed to sign Karimi before the end of the transfer window, only paperwork still has to be done.

Mohammad Ali Karimi Pashaki (born in Tehran in 1978) resigned from the Iranian football national team in 2010 and had scored 36 goals in 112 appearances for “Team Melli”. His last club station was Iranian side FC Steel Azin Tehran.

The 32-year-old “Wizard of Tehran” made his debut for German giant FC Bayern Munich in August 2005 and wore the jersey of his only European club station until summer 2007. The coach back then: Felix Magath
