Schalke escape with derby point

PFDC – DORTMUND, Despite being outclassed by rivals Borussia Dortmund throughout the game, Schalke 04 held on to a goalless draw in German Bundesliga on Friday.

Bundesliga leaders Dortmund had also won the second derby of the season, if it hadn’t been for Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and the woodwork.

Iranian veteran playmaker Ali Karimi had made the 18-men-roster for the game, but didn’t come into play.
