Shojaei injured in Osasuna draw

PFDC – PAMPLONA, After two consecutive games with assists, Masoud Shojaei again started for Osasuna, but had to be subbed out injured already after 37 minutes in the goalless draw against Deportivo La Coruna.

The 26-year-old suffered a muscle injury and limped off the field in Wednesday’s game. It is unclear yet when the offensive allrounder will be back in action.

Meanwhile Javad Nekounam as usual played the full game and showed a pleasing performance in defensive midfield.

Osasuna stand in 16th position, just one point ahead of the relegation zone.

In Germany, the slightly injured Karimi once more didn’t make the squad as Schalke 04 knocked out giants Bayern Munich out of the German Cup and proceeded to the final.
