Loading...PTV – ESFAHAN, The league leader Zob Ahan has been held to a goalless draw against Teraktorsazi in the 25th week of the Iran Premier League (IPL).
Zob Ahan shared points with the popular Tabriz-based club at Isfahan’s Fouladshahr Stadium on Sunday.
The first half was boring with scanty attacks from both sides which turned out in vain. Nothing changed in the second half other than numerous fouls committed by both teams.
Ghasem Haddadifar of Zob Ahan was sent off for the second bookable offense after a foul on Andranik Teymourian just three minutes before the final whistle.
Less than a minute later, the referee, Touraj Haqverdi, showed Teymourian a straight red card for his misconduct.
The result did not change the position of both teams in the standings as Zob Ahan is leading the table with 49 and Teraktorsazi is fourth with 42 points.
The two remaining games of the 25th week of the IPL will see Persepolis plays against the rock bottom club Pas in Hamedan, and titleholder Sepahan will meet Shahrdari in Tabriz on Monday.
