Osasuna lose, Schalke win

PFDC – GIJON, Javad Nekounam played the full 90 minutes, but couldn’t prevent Osasuna from suffering a 0-1 defeat in the hands of Sporting Gijon.

Without the injured Masoud Shojaei, Osasuna were beaten by David Barral’s 65th minute goal.

In Germany Schalke 04 made it three out of three under new coach Ralf Ragnick, defeating former coach Felix Magath and Vfl Wolfsburg 1-0 thanks to Jurado’s second half strike.

Ali Karimi again made it into the 18-men-roster, but unlike in the Champions League win over Inter Milan midweek didn’t earn any playing time.
