I miss playing football, Shojaei says
MNA – PAMPLONA, Iranian injured Osasuna midfielder Masoud Shojaei said he misses playing football.
Shojaei has been forced out of the team for the rest of the season due to a foot injury.
“Now, I’ve found out that not playing is very hard. My broken foot is healing and hopefully I can play in six weeks,” the 27-year-old said.
Shojaei’s contract will expire at the end of season. It’s said that he will return to the UAE league. On this he said, “I will not go back to the Emirates at all. I want to continue my career in Europe.”
When he was asked whether he will stay in Osasuna Shojaei said: “Osasuna is trying to avoid relegation and nobody talks about his contract at the moment. I would rather say nothing during these days”.
The Former Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz was named as Iran football coach last week. Shojaei paid tribute to the Portuguese coach by saying, “Queiroz is a big coach and I hope he will help Iran qualify for the 2014 World Cup.”
