Queiroz on the brink of leaving Iran

PFDC – TEHRAN, The Carlos Queiroz era as Iran coach might take a sudden end, shouldn’t the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) find a quick solution for paying his first salary and fixing other urgent issues.

The IFF has gotten into trouble when recently the mighty Physical Education Organization’s (PEO) bank account got blocked due to sports related disagreements between government and parliament.

The PEO’s financial input is vital for IFF to finance the Portugese headcoach’s and his assistant’s salaries.

IFF President Ali Kafashian is now under pressure to quickly find other ways to temporarily pay the overdue salaries, a bank loan being one of the options on the table.

However, beside the financial issues IFF has so far also failed to keep other promises made to Queiroz earlier which so far make it hard for the former Real boss and his staff to work professionally.

Reportedly Kafashian and the IFF need to fix all problems within the coming days to avoid Carlos Queiroz and his team to leave Iran for good.
