PFDC – TEHRAN, The friendly match between Iran and Venezuela, which initially had been agreed on for June but was canceled after consultation with Iran boss Carlos Queiroz, was now rescheduled for August 10 in Tehran.

Queiroz had vowed the Iranian players would rather need rest than a friendly game in June, but surely will be looking forward to the stiff test on the final FIFA matchday before the start of the third round of World Cup qualification, which will kickoff on September 2.

Team Melli have also announced a friendly match against Ukraine on September 2, however, due to collision with the World Cup qualification this match is likely to be called off or postponed.

Iran will next take on Madagascar in a friendly match in Azadi stadium on July 17 and then compete in the two-legged World Cup qualification round 2 playoff against the Maledives on July 23 (Tehran) and July 28 (Male).

Before that, Queiroz’ men will hold training camps in Tehran (May 23 – 25) and Europe (June 27 – July 9).
