fifa_logo-bigMNA – ZURICH, Iran has dropped one place in the latest world football rankings released by FIFA on Wednesday.

In the world rankings Iran moved down to 48th with 575 points. Iran also stays in fourth place among Asian teams, behind Japan, Australia, and South Korea respectively.

Spain stayed top of the FIFA rankings and the other positions in the top ten also remained unchanged.

Iran has appointed Carlos Queiroz as the new coach of its national team. The team was without a coach since the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
