acl_logoAFC – KUALA LUMPUR, Suwon Bluewings and FC Seoul kept the Korean flag flying in the AFC Champions League when they joined Jeonbuk Motors in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Suwon defeated Japan’s Nagoya Grampus 2-0 while FC Seoul sidelined Kashima Antlers 3-0.

Zob Ahan joined fellow Iranian qualifiers Sepahan in the last eight stage with a 4-1 thrashing of Saudi outfit Al Nassr while Qatar’s Al Sadd recorded a solitary goal win over Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab.

Yeom Ki-hun and Lee Sang-ho were on target for Suwon at the Suwon World Cup Stadium while Bang Seung-whan, Dejan Damjanovic and Koh Myong-jin scored for Seoul.

Al Sadd’s winning goal was scored by Abdulla Koni while Igor Castro scored two after Ghazi Najafabadi’s first-minute opener for Zob Ahan. Vadaye Shaahin added their fourth after Kuwaiti striker Bader Al Mutawa pulled one back for the Saudis.

The draw for the knockout stage will be held at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on June 7.
