Updated Team Melli list announced
While Ehsan Hajsafi was released due to U23 team committements, Foolad Khuzestan duo Jalal Kameli-Mofrad and Reza Norouzi as well as Esteghlal Tehran trio Mojtaba Jabbari, Iman Mobali and Pejman Montazeri were added to the squad which will resume training on Wednesday.
Also Osasuna midfielder Javad Nekounam received an invitation, while his clubmate Masoud Shojaei is still sidelined injured.
Meanwhile Queiroz also already announced the Persepolis Tehran players he intends to invite, however, due to their Cup campaign none of the players were able to join any of his camps yet.
Alireza Haghighi, Alireza Nourmohammadi, Alirzea Aliasghari, Hossein Badamaki, Maziar Zare, Mohammad Nouri, Amirhossein Feshangchi, Mohammad Mansouri and Hadi Norouzi were named by the Portugese.
The U23 players are still in preperations for the Olympic qualifier against Iraq on June 19 (Iraq) and 23 (Tehran) and therefore unavailable, but will meet the senior national team in a friendly match next week.
Some of them will join Team Melli after the playoff matches for a training camp in Austria from June 27 to July 9 and the July 17 friendly match against Madagascar in Tehran.
