All set for ACL, AFCC draws
AFC – KUALA LUMPUR, The draws for the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League 2011 and AFC Cup 2011 will be streamed live on www.the-afc.com on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. The programme kicks off with the AFC Cup draw at 1500 hours (Kuala Lumpur local time), followed by the AFC Champions League draw at 1600 hours.
The AFC Champions League quarterfinalists are: Foolad Sepahan and Zob Ahan (both Iran), Cerezo Osaka (Japan), FC Seoul, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and Suwon Samsung Bluewings (all from Korea Republic), Al Sadd (Qatar), and Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia).
The AFC Champions League quarterfinals take place on 14 September (first leg; QF 1, 2, 3, 4), while the return leg takes place over two days – 27 September (QF 1, 2) and 28 September (QF 3, 4). The semifinals will be played on 19 October (first leg) with the return leg scheduled for 26 October.
The one-off final will be played on either 4 November or 5 November.
The AFC Cup last eight teams are: Duhok and Arbil (Iraq), Chonburi FC and Muang Thong (Thailand), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), Persipura Jayapura (Indonesia), Al Wehdat (Jordan), and Kuwait SC (Kuwait).
The AFC Cup schedule sees the quarterfinals being played on 13 September (first leg) and 27 September (second leg), while the last four matches are scheduled for 4 October (first leg) and 18 October (second leg). The final will take place on 29 October.
