PFDC – SÖCHAU, A day after defeating DAC Dunajska Streda 2-0, Iran also won the test match against Czech clubteam Banik Ostrava.

Team Melli took the lead through Mohammad Ghazi, who benefited from a Mehrdad Oladi serving after 29 minutes but also impressed with a good individual effort inside the box.

However, the Czechs struck back and turned things around with goals from Fantis (30′) and Senkerik (43′) before halftime.

But Iran recovered after the break and finally won 3-2 thanks to goals from second half substitutes Reza Norouzi (79′) and Pejman Montazeri (81′), the latter scoring the winner after the Czech keeper couldn’t hold on to a Ghasem Hadadifar freekick.

The Iranian team will return to Tehran on Sunday and resume training there before taking on Madagascar in a friendly match in Azadi stadium on July 17 and a two-legged World Cup qualifier against the Maldives on July 23 (Tehran) and July 28 (Male).
