Preparations crucial for Rajevac’s Qatar

AFC – DOHA, Qatar coach Milovan Rajevac feels preparations will hold the key in their bid to qualify for the fourth round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Qatar were drawn with Iran, Bahrain and Indonesia in Group E for the third round which will begin next month. Qatar will begin their campaign away against Bahrain on September 2.

“It is a tough task, so we will make sure to prepare properly,” he said.

“We will spend some time in Qatar and then we will have a ten-day stint in Turkey,” he added.

Qatar are also scheduled to play a friendly against former Asian champions Iraq on August 10 in Doha.

In the second round, Qatar defeated Vietnam 3-0 in the first leg at home before going down 2-1 away in Hanoi for a 4-2 aggregate victory.
