Bahrain gearing up for FWCQ

Loading...AFC – MANAMA, Bahrain will clash with Oman on August 10 in a friendly international during their training camp in the UAE as both sides prepare for their respective 2014 FIFA World Cup Round 3 matches in September.
Bahrain were drawn with Iran, Qatar and Indonesia for the third round while Oman have been slotted with Australia, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
Bahrain’s English coach Peter John Taylor has cautioned the team against being overconfident after they came very close to qualifying for the World Cup finals twice in two previous editions, stumbling at the last hurdle.
Taylor has named a 31-man squad, including captain Mohamed Salmeen, strikers Fawzi Aish and Jaycee John, for the UAE camp.
The Bahrainis resumed their local training programme on Wednesday in Riffa after a few days’ break to mark the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
