‘Gucci’ scores his third of the season

PFDC – ST. TRUIDEN, VV St. Truiden continue to struggle in Belgium’s Jupiler league, losing 3-4 to reigning champions KRC Genk on Friday.

The loss was particularily bitter, as St. Truiden hadn’t only gone ahead in first half through Iranian striker Reza ‘Gucci’ Ghoochannejhad, but also had made up a later two-goal deficit by two late goals, before conceding the decisive goal just three minutes from time.

After six games played, St. Truiden therefore remain in 15th position of 16 teams in the league, with only one point collected so far.

Mashad-born Ghoochannejhad, who had joined the Belgian team from Dutch second division in summer, played the full 90 minutes in attack and scored his third goal of the season after a counter in minute 27.
