wc2014_logoGOAL – KUALA LUMPUR, The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has confirmed that its national team will face Frank Rijkaard’s Saudi Arabia in a friendly on October 7 in Malaysia.

PSSI secretary Tri Goestoro said the match would be part of a training camp prior to the World Cup qualifier against Qatar at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on October 11.

Before the warm-up match against the West Asian powerhouse in Malaysia, Team Garuda’s training camp will begin in Jakarta.

“The plan on October 5 is all players will travel to Malaysia and will return on October 8,” Goestoro was quoted as saying by bola.net.

In accordance with a pre-determined schedule, he said Indonesia national team’s training camp that is led by Wim Rijsbergen will begin from October 1.

It is also understood that the accomodation costs for the friendly in Malaysia will be borne by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation.

Saudi Arabia, who are in Group D in the third round of World Cup qualifiers, are due to face Thailand in Bangkok on October 11.
