Sepahan knocked out of AFC Champions League [VIDEO]

MNA – DOHA, Iran’s Sepahan has been eliminated from the AFC Champions League despite defeating Al Sadd of Qatar on Wednesday.

The Iranian team beat Al Sadd 2-1 in the second leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinal but lost 4-2 on aggregate.

Emad Reza and Hassan Ahjari scored for Sepahan in the 6th and 26th minutes and Niang pulled a goal back for the Qatari team in the 84th minute .

Sepahan had been found guilty of using an ineligible player against Al Sadd of Qatar in their 1-0 win in first leg of AFC Champions League quarterfinals.

The disciplinary committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) awarded a 3-0 win to the Qatari club and imposed a $1,000 fine on Sepahan for the infraction.
