Loading...MNA – TEHRAN, Esteghlal was held to a 1-1 draw against Rah Ahan in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
In the match held at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Alireza Abbasfard gave Rah Ahan a lead in the 16th minute, sending the ball in the back of the net from six yards.
Esteghlal dominated the match afterward but its strikers failed to take advantage of theirs chances. Eventually, Mojtaba Jabbari equalized the match from a header in the 74th minute.
Moreover, Saba lost to Zob Ahan 1-0 in its home game, Sepahan defeated Traktorsazi 2-1, Damash saw off Foolad 3-2, Sepasi was held to a 1-1 draw against Saipa and Naft edged past Mes of Sarcheshmeh.
Naft moved to the top of the IPL standings table with 21 points, followed by Esteghlal and Traktorsazi with 20 and 19 points respectively.
