Shojaei faces third consecutive surgery
PFDC – PAMPLONA, Osasuna and Iran midfielder Masoud Shojaei will have to undergo another surgery on his injured foot and will be out for at least four more months, the club’s official homepage reports.
Shojaei had injured himself during the La Liga game against Atletico Madrid in April and underwent two surgeries in Pamplona in April and May, however, until now hasn’t recovered. Recent radiological tests showed the bone healing is insufficient and therefore the 27-year-old will have to have a third surgery, this time in Germany.
According to Osasuna’s team doctor, the injury could cost Shojaei the complete season in worst case, though being sidelined for another four or five month is more likely.
