Persepolis, Naft tie in IPL 11th week

PTV – TEHRAN, Persepolis has stopped to a scoreless draw against city rival Naft Tehran in the 11th week of the Iranian Premier League (IPL).
The Reds played out to a lackluster goalless draw against Naft at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Friday, and remained in the 11th place of the table.
Persepolis created some scoring chances in the first 20 minutes of the match but the Reds’ players could not change the result.
Naft came close to the opener before the break but its midfielder’s right-footed shot hit the post to Persepolis’ comfort.
The game featured even less opportunities in the second half and both sides walked into their locker-rooms with only one point.
In the other matches of the day, Damash edged past Malavan with a solo, Teraktorsazi drew with Saipa 2-2, and Shahin overpowered Sepasi 1-0.
On Thursday, Rah Ahan tied 1-1 with Sepahan and Mes defeated Foulad 1-0.
In the last matches of the week on Saturday, Saba will host Shahrdari Tabriz, Mes Sarcheshmeh will take on Naft Abadan, and Zob Ahan and Esteghlal will play the most important game of the week.
