IFF international committee chief resigns
MNA – TEHRAN, Abbas Torabian resigned as the chairman of the International Committee of the Iran Football Federation (IFF) on Friday.
“As I said before, my job with Iran’s football team will be finished after a while. I had to continue my job to help Carlos Queiroz accustom himself to our football… but it’s time to go now,” Torabian said.
“The Portuguese has worked with the Manchester United football team and would rather work in Iranian football as a coach and manager, like Sir Alex Ferguson’s situation at the English team,” added Torabian, who is also the chairman of the IFF Futsal Committee.
He resigned as the chairman of the IFF International Committee by mutual consent but will retain his post as the chairman of the IFF Futsal Committee.
