FIFA ranking: Iran remain fourth in Asia
PFDC – ZURICH, Iran dropped three positions to the 45th position of the FIFA ranking, but remains fourth in the Asian ranking.
Like Iran, most of the other top ten teams of Asia lost a few spots.
The Asian ranking is vital for the further World Cup qualifying campaign, as the AFC teams will be seeded according to the latest FIFA ranking at the time of the draw for the final stage of qualification.
Iran consolidated the important fourth rank in Asia keeping China (already eliminated from World Cup qualifying), Uzbekistan, Iraq and Jordan 150 to 200 points behind them.
