FIFA.com – Naft Tehran missed the chance to go clear at the top of the Iran Pro League table after they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Saba Battery on Wednesday.

Saba had taken the lead through Pejman Shahpari’s 16th-minute goal but the hosts hit back in the second half through goals from Josiesley Rosa and Reza Magholi. However, Gholamreza Enayati’s strike four minutes from time ensure the spoils were shared.

Sepahan climbed to fourth as goals from Emad Mohammed and Milorad Janjus in the second period sealed the points.

Mes Sarcheshmeh remain bottom of the table despite a battling 3-3 draw at fellow strugglers Fajr Sepasi. The visitors found themselves 3-1 down early in the second period but Moslem Firoozabadi’s goal just before the hour reduced the arrears and Mojtaba Tarshizi netted in the final minute to snatch a point.

Elsewhere, Saman Safa’s 67th-minute goal ensured a 1-0 win for Mes Kerman over Malavan while Shahrdari Tabriz won 2-0 at Sanat Naft, Meysam Baou and Jafar Bazri getting the goals.
