Khalatbari joins Maradona’s Al Wasl
GOAL – DUBAI, Diego Maradona’s Al Wasl have announced that they have signed Iran international Mohammad Reza Khalatbari.
Al Wasl confirmed the deal for the 28-year-old attacking midfielder on the club’s official Twitter account.
Khalatbari, who has 44 caps for Iran, will replace Uruguayan-Australian Richard Porta as the club’s Asian player in their foreign quota.
The Iranian joins Al Wasl from Qatari club Al Gharafa, whom he only joined six months ago after leaving his homeland where he previously played with Zob Ahan.
Ramsar-born Khalatbari made nine appearances for Al Gharafa scoring three times during his six-month stint in Qatar.
