Iran confirm Jordan friendly

PFDC – TEHRAN, Iran will face Jordan in a friendly match on February 23, Iranian football federation’s deputy Mehdi Taj confirmed on Iranian state television.

Iranian and Jordanian media had already reported earlier, the two sides would meet in Dubai for a final test ahead of the two team’s final round 3 World Cup qualifiers six days later.

Both teams have already qualified for the final stage and are only looking for consolidating their group lead.

Iran will host Qatar on February 29 while Jordan will travel to China.

Taj also confirmed Vfl Wolfsburg striker Ashkan Dejagah has been informed he would be eligible and cleared to play against Qatar and everything would be up to the 25-year-old now.
