PFDC – TEHRAN/KAZAN, Iranian national team goalkeeper Alireza Haghighi (23) joined the Russian side and European top club FC Rubin Kazan.

According to Rubin’s official website, the 23-year old former Persepolis keeper signed a four-year contract with the Russians, who are currently preparing for their Russian championship campaign at a training camp close to Belek/Turkey.

However, there are no informations about the salary or other agreements. Earlier this week, Persepolis manager Mohammad Royanian confirmed a transfer payment of one million dollars.

Born in Tehran in 1988, Alireza Haghighi started his professional career at Persepolis FC at the age of 18. He made his debut for the Tehran giant in the Iranian Professional League (Persian Gulf Cup) match against Saipa Alborz (former Saipa Karaj) on October 17, 2006.

Being counted as the youngest captain in Persepolis history the 23-year old national team player has played 73 times at Persepolis since 2006.
