Majidi scores a brace in Gharafa win [VIDEO]

PFDC – DOHA, Former Team Melli and Esteghlal striker Farhad Majidi scored his first goals for struggling Al Gharafa in the Qatar Stars league, helping them to a 3-2 win over Al Kharitiyat on Saturday.

Kharitiyat, currently second last in the standings, took a first half-lead, but a Farhad Majidi penalty 11 minutes after the restart and his second goal after 72 minutes turned the tides.

However, the hosts again equalized 13 minutes from time, just to concede another goal only moments later.

Already on Friday, Al Arabi and Iran international defender Hadi Aghily downed Al Sadd 1-0.

Al Arabi stand in seventh position of the table with 21 points collected so far, while Al Gharafa are two spots and as many points behind.

In the UAE, Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari played the full 90 minutes in Al Wasl’s 1-0 win over Baniyas on Thursday, helping Maradona’s side to the third consecutive league win since joining the club from Al Gharafa in January.
