Persepolis scoops Bosnian keeper
TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Borac Banja Luka keeper Asmir Avdukic joined Persepolis’ squad on Sunday for the remainder of the season.
Avdukic recently penned a $130,000 contract with the Tehran team.
Persepolis has given up hope of being able to win the Iran Professional League title but is instead aiming to qualify for the AFC Champions League knock out stage.
“Everything is done in less than two days. I wanted to join a European team. However the first concrete offer came from Iran. Persepolis’ offer was good for me and also for my club. So I am happy that everything is successfully completed,” the 31-year-old keeper said.
