TEHRAN TIMES – TABRIZ, Traktorsazi of Tabriz defeated Sepahan in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Monday, bringing an end to the team’s seven-game winning streak.
Traktorsazi beat IPL leader Sepahan 1-0 in Tabriz’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium.
Rodrigo Tosi scored the only goal of the game from a penalty after his teammate was fouled in the penalty area.
Sepahan was the better team in the second half but was frustrated by its inability to seize the initiative on the offensive.
Sepahan remained top of the IPL standings table with 52 points, while Traktorsazi moved up to second place with 49 points.
