TEHRAN TIMES – TABRIZ, Shahrdari of Tabriz sacked coach Ali-Asghar Modir-Roosta on Tuesday due to poor results in Iran Professional League (IPL). 
 
The 42-year-old replaced Miodrag Jesic at the Tabriz-based football team in late December.
 
The former Iran striker began his coaching career at Paykan in 2008 then left the team to take charge of Pas one year later, fore finally moving to Shahrdari.
 
With four weeks remaining, Shahrdari is struggling to move out of the relegation zone.
 
Modir-Roosta’s assistant Bijan Azizi has been appointed as the team interim coach.
