Madanchi returns to Persepolis

PFDC – TEHRAN, Leftwinger Mahrzad Madanchi has returned to Iran and will play for Persepolis FC next season.

The 27-year-old had joined UAE second division side Al Shaab from Steel Azin last summer, but had missed most of the season due to injury.

Madanchi joined Persepolis’ training on Saturday with fellow recent signing Eamon Zayed.

The 42-times Iranian international had already played for the Reds from 2005 to 2007 before playing for UAE’s Al Shaab, Al Nasr and Al Ahli during the next three seasons.

Persepolis will kick off the new season in Abadan against Sanat Naft next Thursday.
