Khalatbari: Iran will reach Brazil

PFDC – TEHRAN, After being responsible for scoring the opening and creating the second goal against Tunisia, Iran’s Mohammad Reza Khalatbari showed his gratefulness for the camp in Hungary and expressed optimism for Team Melli too qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

“The camp was really useful in terms of conditioning and the team was met with exceptional circumstances in Budapest.”

“We went back to Iran fully satisfied.”

“Tunisia had two chances and they made use of them, but it was a good game and we did well”, said the 28-year-old.

The Sepahan striker also made remarks about the critical match against Lebanon in September.

“Hopefully we will be blessed with a win against Lebanon and leave Beirut with the essential three points.”

Khalatbari also added that Iran will prevail against South Korea in Tehran a month later.

The former Zob Ahan striker has scored four times in 48 appearances for Iran, including the last second winner against Uzbekistan in June, which gave Team Melli a excellent start to the World Cup qualifying campaign.
