Iran’s Ghoochannejhad signs deal with Standard Liège
PFDC – SINT TRUIDEN/LIÈGE, The future Iranian national team player Reza Ghoochannejhad (25) and Belgian Jupiler League outfit Standard Liège signed a 3.5 year contract, starting in January 2013.
The 25-years old striker, who started his career at SC Heerenveen in 2005, will stay with his current club, VV St. Truiden until the beginning of the next year.
Ghoochannejhad agreed on a 3.5 year contract with the Belgian powerhouse, who failed to qualify for this year’s edition of the Europa League. Further information regarding the details of his contract were currently not published.
Due to organisational difficulties, the technically gifted and Mashad-born offensive player is still waiting to make his first appearance for the Iranian football national team, but is expected to make his debut in the Jordan friendly or the World Cup qualifier in Lebanon in September.
