Aghily injured, to miss South Korea game
PFDC – DOHA, Iran international defender Hadi Aghily is the latest addition to Team Melli’s long injury list after he limped off his club Qatar SC’s league game at halftime and was diagnosed with a knee injury.
The 31-year-old was diagnosed with a meniscus injury and is not expected to return to action before middle of November and therefore will not be able to participate in the World Cup qualifier against South Korea next month.
Meanwhile Iran boss Carlos Queiroz is considering a postponement of the friendly match against North Korea, which had been scheduled as preperation for the South Korea game.
Queiroz reportedly is concerned about the many injured players and doesn’t want to risk further injuries ahead of the crucial qualifier.
