Esteghlal set to swap Samuel for Persepolis striker
TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Esteghlal general manager Ali Fatollahzadeh said that on Friday they are prepared to discuss a swap deal with Persepolis.
Esteghlal is reportedly considering a January swap deal involving Jlloyd Samuel and a Persepolis striker.
The reports suggested that Esteghlal is targeting Persepolis striker Mohammad Ghazi.
“Some clubs are interested in signing Samuel but we will work hard to keep the player,” Fatollahzadeh said.
“We have had negotiations with Persepolis in the last few days. We would rather have one of Persepolis strikers,” Esteghlal general manager said.
It’s while Fatollahzadeh counterpart Mohammad Ruyanian said that Persepolis will keep its strikers.
“Mohammad Ghazi, Eamon Zayed and Karim Ansarifard will stay in Persepolis. We have not had any negotiations with Esteghlal so far,” Ruyanian said.
