TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, After a two-month absence, Ali Karimi on Friday joined Persepolis training session in Tehran.

The controversial midfielder was left out of Persepolis in September due to a dispute with Portuguese coach Manuel Jose.

The two buried the hatchet at a reconciliation meeting held at Persepolis club on Thursday.

“I’ve forgotten what happened in the past. Karimi is a great player and must train good to help Persepolis to gain excellent results. I will treat him good,” Jose said.

Karimi is also happy because of returning to Persepolis training camp.

“I don’t want to talk about the past as well. I will do my best in Persepolis to make the millions of fans happy,” Karimi said.

Karimi was injured in a friendly match against Tajikistan last week. He was diagnosed with a second-degree thigh strain by Persepolis Doctor Vajihollah Cheshmesari. The 34-year- old player will be out of action for at least three weeks.
