Iran futsal needs new blood, coach says
TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Iran futsal coach Ali Sanei said on Saturday that the team needs some new blood to get back on track.
10-time Asian champion was eliminated from the 2012 Futsal World Cup, suffering a 2-1 loss against Colombia in the round of 16.
“I will not work at the team and believe that Iran futsal needs fresh blood,” Sanei was quoted by IRNA as saying.
Sanei’s contract will run until June 2013.
Moreover, Abbas Torabian, head of Iran’s Futsal Committee, resigned from his post on Saturday.
