Yahya Golmohammadi appointed Persepolis coach
TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Yahya Golmohammadi was officially appointed as head coach of Persepolis football team on Thursday.
Persepolis terminated the contract with Portuguese coach Manuel Jose following the Tehran-based team’s poor results in the Iran Professional League.
Golmohammadi, 41, joined Persepolis in September as the first assistant coach.
“We need time to improve. Persepolis has changed its style in the last two matches. Now, we have to concentrate on Sepasi match, scheduled for Sunday,” the newly-appointed Persepolis coach said.
Persepolis is 13th in Iran Professional League standing table with 22 points after 18 games.
