Persepolis hires Begovic as new assistant coach
PRESS TV – TEHRAN, Croatian football coach Vinko Begovic has signed a contract with Persepolis to join the Tehran-based powerhouse as an assistant coach until the end of the current season of the Iran Premier League (IPL).
The 64-year-old Croatian will render assistance to Yahya Golmohammadi, who is the current head coach of Persepolis.
Last week, Begovic resigned as head coach of the Pas Hamedan football club after his team got poor results in the IPL.
Begovic has previously served as the head coach of several Iranian football clubs, namely Foulad, Persepolis, and Pegah Gilan.
He was also the manager of Iran’s national under-23 football team for a short period in 2007.
