Shojaei comeback in Camp Nou
PFDC – BARCELONA, Iranian international Masoud Shojaei gave his comeback after recovering from a muscle injury which had sidelined him for two months, coming on at halftime as ten-man Osasuna suffered a 1-5 defeat to FC Barcelona.
Messi gave Barcelona an early lead against Osasuna, but the visitors surprisingly equalized through Loe after 24 minutes.
However, a very harsh decision by the referee turned the game in Barca’s favour again three minutes later.
The already booked Arribas received his marching orders for an unintentional handplay inside the area and Messi converted the resulting penalty kick.
Pedro increased the lead five minutes from halftime before two quick goals by the unstoppable Messi after the break then sealed the thrashing of Osasuna.
Shojaei, who had come on as 46th minute substitue for Alvaro Cejudo, of course barely could inscene himself offensively while mainly being bound in defense.
Nevertheless this were very important playing minutes for the 28-year-old offensive allrounder, who had returned from a heavy foot injury – which had sidelined him for more than a year – in autumn, but again suffered an injury in November.
