Malavan wins Gilan derby [VIDEO]

Loading...PFDC – BANDAR ANZALI, Malavan Anzali celebrated an important 3-1 derby victory over archrival Damash Gilan at the Anzali Takhti Stadium on last Tuesday afternoon.
In a fully packed home stadium, Malavan Anzali took the lead in the 10th minute by a header from Jalal Rafkhaei.
Both teams didn’t give each other presents until a terrible blunder by Damash’s Da Silva helped Nozhati in the 77th minute to overcome Damash goalkeeper Hassan Roudbarian.
Roudbarian himself received his marching orders in the 90th minute after a foul within the penalty box. The referee sent off Roudbarian although the wrongful act was clearly committed by a Damash defender.
Subsequently, Rafkhaei took the penalty kick for Malavan and increased the lead to 3-0 for the “White Swans”.
Damash got one back two minutes into extra-time by Hallafi but it should not have any further impact on the match.
Malavan is now 6th with 35 points while Damash will face the relegation struggle with only 2 points ahead of the relegation spot.
