Iran u-23 beat Morocco [VIDEO]
Persianfootball.com – DOHA, Iran’s Olympic squad started the four-nation friendly tournament in Qatar with a 1-0 win over Morocco’s u-23 and the top the table after matchday 1.
Payam Sadeghian’s 29th minute penalty after a harsh penalty call following an alledged foul on Alireza Jahanbakhsh was enough to defeat the North Africans.
In the other game of the day Qatar’s and Turkey’s u-23 teams struggled to a 1-1 draw.
Alireza Mansourian’s men, who have to do without winger Yaghoub Karimi who is with the senior natioal team, will next take on hosts Qatar on Saturday.
