Persepolis edges past Malavan in Iran Professional League [VIDEO]

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, The Persepolis football team edged past Malavan in the Iranian Professional League on Monday.

In the match held at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Persepolis beat the visiting Malavan 1-0 thanks to Karim Ansarifard’s 56th minute goal.

Persepolis remained at the sixth place and Malavan is 11th in IPL table.

“I rested some of our key players for the match against Sepahan. I am satisfied with the way our players played against Malavan,” Persepolis coach Yahya Golmohammadi Said in the post match news conference.

Persepolis is gearing up for the next week’s important match against Sepahan in the Iran’s Hazfi Cup final.
