Rahmati and Aghili will never be invited to Team Melli, coach says

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz says he will never invite Mehdi Rahmati and Hadi Aghili to the team.
In January Mehdi Rahmati, in a surprise move withdrew from the national team citing some personal problems.
Aghili also left the national team’s camp on the night before the match against Lebanon in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualifier.
The defender received a one-year ban from the Iranian Football Federation’s disciplinary committee.
Iran is preparing for a must-win game against Qatar on June 4 in the 2014 World Cup qualifier. The two players apologized to the Iranian nation over their withdrawal from the national football team and announced their readiness for returning to the team.
“As long as I am coach, I will never invite these two players to the Iran football team. We need players who are committed to their country, like soldiers. I’m satisfied with my players at the moment and we are going to defeat Qatar,” Queiroz said on Monday.
