Team Melli must not take Lebanon for granted
Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, According to Lebanon’s national football coach Theo Buecker the upcoming World Cup qualifier match against Iran is not important for Lebanon but it is very important for Iran.
Buecker added, some of the Lebanon key players will miss the match due to suspension and therefore Lebanon will not play with full strength.
These admissions seem a bit strange but could be tricky. The visitors might seemingly show no interest in the game and then suddenly put up a vigorous fight in Azadi stadium to stop Iran and play to win.
Iran has ten points so far and if Team Melli loses to Lebanon on next Tuesday then Qatar suddenly will find itself fighting for the third place.
Team Melli and Queiroz must take a note of this and should not assume Lebanon will grant them a victory for sure.
Team Melli must play with at most care and the level of intensity they demonstrated against Qatar and must play for a win instead of taking anything for granted.
