Esteghlal general manager resigns

Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Ali Fatollahzadeh stepped down as general manager of Esteghlal football team due to financial pressure.

Fatollahzadeh had already resigned from his post in February but Iranian Youth and Sports Minister Mohammad Abbasi had not accepted that.

Esteghlal won the Iran Professional League last season under his management.

Majid Shayesteh, head of Iran Tennis Federation, is a candidate to replace Fattollahzadeh.
